PEMDAS

There are instances in which you may have to do the division before the multiplication and read from the left to the right

8*4 ÷ 16 = 2 or (8 *4)÷16 = 2 or 8*(4÷16) =2

8÷4 *16 = 32 or (8÷4) *16 = 32 and NOT 8÷(4*16) = 1/8
